ASSESSMENTS & INVENTORIES

Understand individual and team mindsets to determine levels of CI, expressions across cultural values, and areas of discomfort during culturally nuanced interactions; strategically design content accordingly

CITC has developed and validated two instruments that are included with every long-term partnership or facilitation that is 3 or more hours:

CULTURALLY INTELLIGENT ASSESSMENT

Completion time: 5-10 minutes | Mobile or computer

This comprehensive assessment measures levels of Openness, Awareness, and Responsiveness when interacting across cultural diversity. Participants receive a comprehensive report of their levels in each capability and strategies for CI development.

CULTURAL VALUES EXPRESSIONS INVENTORY

Completion time: 5-10 minutes | Mobile or computer

This self-assessment gauges how the participant expresses the Cultural Values of loyalty, power, risk, collaboration, time, context, identity, fairness, emotions, and focus. Participants receive a comprehensive personalized report describing their Cultural Value expressions and how they are motivated to communicate,
engage, and respond when interacting with others.

CITC facilitators are also certified in additional inventories to help clients understand their mindsets and needs as it relates to customized interventions and trainings:

THE INTERCULTURAL DEVELOPMENT INVENTORY (IDI)

The Intercultural Development Inventory, or IDI, is the assessment platform from which IDI Guided Development is undertaken to build CI and achieve educational and organizational goals.

Engaging the IDI process allows individuals to understand their mindsets as it relates to their levels of comfort with interacting across cultural differences. Should an individual (or group) desire, they can increase their levels of Cultural Intelligence (CI) to help them understand, and more effectively interact, across cultures. They do so by understanding where they are on the Intercultural Development Continuum (IDC) and seeking to move toward the next orientation/mindset. Your group and individual results remain confidential and will not be shared.

Most critically, CITC IDI facilitators factor in a person's personal and social identities and lived experiences when debriefing group and individual results. We do this with an empathetic lens, recognizing that who we are and how we relate across cultural differences can be dependent on our life's circumstances and how we have interacted in private and professional spaces.
